The Spotbreast Swallowtail Angelfish (Genicanthus melanospilos) is a rare and elusive Angelfish in the marine hobby. They are all born Female and the dominant fish will eventually turn male displaying intricately “woven” black vertical stripes and a white body. They have a blue irridecent spot on their forehead and yellow spotting throught their dorsal fin. Females display a golden gradient starting most intensley at its dorsal fin and fadding into pure white midway throiugh its body spouting a black > shape on its tailfin.  They are best kept in a FOWLR aquarium with plenty of space to swim and with fish of similar size and temperament.
